Station Manager

PBS12 is seeking an innovative, agile, and forward-thinking Station Manager to oversee the operation and evolution of our content and distribution tools and processes. The Station Manager will report to the President and General Manager. The Station Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations, production capabilities, and maintenance of the station’s equipment and facility. The Station Manager will develop and deploy innovative technological solutions that will increase the ease, amount, and speed of local studio production while maintaining PBS12’s high-quality standards. This is a full-time position based at PBS12’s facility at the Five Points Media Center in Denver, Colorado.

• Develop and deploy a technology strategy that expands PBS12’s production capabilities
• Develop and deploy an enterprise-wide technology strategy that leverages automation and AI
• Oversee, optimize, and evolve PBS12’s master control functions
• Oversee, optimize, and evolve PBS12’s studio facilities
• Work with PBS12 colleagues to activate the studio and capture content quickly and efficiently
• Ensure PBS12 technology is in good working order
• Collaborate with PBS12 colleagues on training, problem-solving, and leveraging new technologies to improve workflows
• Assist in the creation and deployment of the technology budget
• Develop an immediate, short-term, and long-term technology plan for PBS12
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of PBS12’s facilities

• Five or more years in the broadcast or video production field
• Extensive understanding of broadcast and video delivery platforms
• Extensive knowledge of FCC technology requirements and standards
• Experience with video over IP solutions (example: NDI)
• Experience with computer-based production control systems (example: V-Mix)
• Strong functional knowledge of both studio and field production techniques
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift and carry 40lbs and occasionally up to 80lbs of equipment
• Ability to create detailed technology plans that support the strategic vision of PBS12
• Ability to develop and execute P&L analyses and construct responsible budgets

$160K-$180K annually

Vice-President of Brand and Development

PBS12 seeks an innovative, agile, and forward-thinking Vice-President of Brand and Development to oversee brand strategy, fundraising, and membership development. This role will report to the President and General Manager.

This is a non-commissioned, guaranteed-salary, full-time, hybrid (60% in-office, 40% remote) position based at PBS12’s facility at the Five Points Media Center in Denver, Colorado.

• Develop and deploy a successful corporate underwriting strategy
• Refine, enhance, and evolve PBS12’s membership and donor acquisition and retention strategy
• Refine, enhance, and evolve PBS12’s grant strategy
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing to refine the PBS12 brand and deployment strategy
• Develop and enhance partnerships and relationships across the Colorado business, non-profit, and foundation communities.
• Work closely with PBS12 content teams to identify opportunities across the portfolio
• Innovate new approaches and create renewed excitement around traditional fundraising, such as pledge drives and special events
• Collaborate with and develop the fundraising skills of other PBS12 colleagues

• Five or more years in fundraising or sales
• Strong organizational skills and experience with CRM-type tools
• Track record of successful strategic planning and mature leadership
• Excellent active-listening and communication skills
• Track record of innovative problem-solving and an opportunity-recognition mindset
• Strong writing, presentation creation, and presentation delivery skills
• Ability and desire to learn new product sets and become a subject-matter expert
• Ability to review data sets and identify relevant patterns and opportunities
• A positive, optimistic attitude with an excellent work ethic and sense of urgency

$110K-$120K guaranteed salary annually (non-commissioned role)
