PBS12 General Manager Kristen Blessman Resigns
Denver (April 10, 2024) – Kristen Blessman is resigning from her position as President and General Manager of PBS12, effective April 22, 2024. Kristen informed the board of her intent to resign in January. The Board of Directors is grateful to Kristen for her innovative leadership of the station over the last two years. PBS12 Board of Directors has appointed Frannie Matthews to serve as interim President and GM while they conduct a search for a full-time President and General Manager.
Kristen has accomplished many of the goals the Board tasked her with upon her hiring in October of 2021, and has brought a fresh approach to how the station is positioned as Impact Media for Colorado, how it creates original programs, and how it aligns itself in the community.

The Board is delighted to appoint Frannie Matthews into the role of Interim President & General Manager. Matthews is the former CEO of the Colorado Technical Association, was named one of the most powerful women in business by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, received a lifetime achievement award for Women in Business from Denver Business Journal, and has over 35 years of experience in the technology sector. She is passionate about helping future leaders and is particularly interested in STEM education. The interim position at PBS12 sets up Matthews to continue advancing PBS12’s endeavors and maintaining the vision set for PBS12.

The Board has begun a search for a permanent replacement and looks forward to the continued success of PBS12 as it taps into the spirit of the local community.
